Simple Nativity

This nativity, though simple in design, represents a much larger story. How beautifully it captures the bond between Mary, Joseph, and Jesus in such an understated way. Mary holds the Christ child in her arms knowing He was not hers for the keeping. Joseph watching over both of them through the ridicule and scorn of the masses. Together, with humble hearts, they hold the Salvation of All in their arms...knowing, one day, they would have to give Him back...

This nativity is cut from maple, a North American hardwood, and it is oiled with boiled linseed oil to preserve the natural color and to protect the wood.
